When I left the Navy, I lucked into a position that gave me an opportunity to excel. WXL (formerly known as CTS) had previously used telemarketing as its only sales channel. I was hired to find other viable sales channels, namely mass marketing. I was a one-man-show. After much trial and error, I managed to create a direct marketing program that elevated our small company into the top ranks of its industry. In my two years with the company our sales grew from $40 million to $300 million. - |
